About Reigate

The history of the town goes back to beyond Domesday.  It was the establishment of the Augustinian Priory around 1230 that saw the development of Reigate.

Today, the town has a wide variety of restuarants, coffee bars and wine bars, shops and a major supermarket. 

There is a mainline railway station providing services to London.  There are state and private schools locally.   The Donyngs Recreation Centre and swimming pool provides sports facilites.

Local attractions include the monthly Farmers' Market, The Caves and the summer music festival.
